TownEve Privacy Policy

How TownEve may collect, use, store and share information across our website, enquiries and water-management services.

TownEve is a smart water management platform operated by CyberGrove Solutions Private Limited. This Privacy Policy explains how TownEve may collect, use, store and share information when people visit the TownEve website, submit an enquiry, communicate with TownEve, or use the TownEve application and related services.

1. Information we may collect

Website enquiries

When you contact TownEve through the website or another enquiry channel, we may collect information such as:
Name
Phone number
Email address
Society or project name
Message or requirement
Other information you voluntarily provide

TownEve application

Depending on how a residential society configures and uses TownEve, the application may contain information relating to users or residents, including:
Resident or user name
Flat or unit number
Account or access information needed to provide the service
Information voluntarily provided by the user

Resident name and flat-number information is intended to be provided on a voluntary opt-in basis and is not mandatory for basic water-monitoring functionality unless a particular service configuration requires information that has been separately disclosed.

Operational and device information

TownEve may process technical and operational information generated by the water-monitoring system, including tank-level readings, historical readings, device identifiers, telemetry status, timestamps, alerts, system events and information needed to operate, maintain and troubleshoot the service.

Website, analytics and device information

TownEve may use analytics, advertising, CRM and website technologies such as Google Analytics, HubSpot tracking, Meta Pixel and similar tools that may be introduced from time to time. Depending on the technology and user settings, these tools may collect information such as browser or device information, IP address, pages viewed, interactions with the website, referring pages, approximate location derived from network information, and campaign or conversion information.

Where required, TownEve will use appropriate consent mechanisms for cookies or similar technologies.

Communications

If you contact TownEve through email, telephone, WhatsApp, forms or other communication channels, we may retain the information you provide and relevant communication history so that we can respond, provide support, maintain business records and improve our services.

2. How we may use information

TownEve may use information to:

Provide, configure and operate TownEve services
Create and administer authorized user access
Display relevant water-monitoring and operational information
Send configured alerts and service communications
Provide customer support
Install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and software

3. Residential society and resident information

For deployments at residential societies, the relevant society, association, builder, property manager or other customer may determine which people should receive access and what information is supplied to TownEve for that deployment.

TownEve aims to collect only the personal information reasonably required for the configured service. Water-monitoring telemetry primarily relates to the property's water infrastructure rather than an individual resident.

Where resident names or flat numbers are used, TownEve will process them for the configured service and access experience. Customers should only provide personal information they are authorized to provide.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies

TownEve may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage and similar technologies for essential website functions, analytics, CRM, security, advertising measurement and service improvement.

These technologies may include services provided by HubSpot, Google, Meta and other providers introduced as TownEve's website and marketing systems evolve.

The exact technologies active on the website may change. Where applicable, visitors will be given cookie or consent choices required by law. Users may also be able to control cookies through their browser settings.

This policy permits the use of such technologies but does not by itself mean every named technology is currently active.

5. How information may be shared

TownEve may share information with:
Service providers that support website hosting, CRM, analytics, communications, cloud infrastructure, customer support, installation or other business operations
The residential society, association, builder, property manager or organization responsible for a deployment, where relevant to that deployment
Professional advisers where reasonably necessary
Government, regulatory, judicial or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process
A successor or relevant party in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements

TownEve does not need to sell personal information in order to operate its water-monitoring service.

Service providers may process information according to their own contractual and legal obligations.

6. Data retention

TownEve may retain personal and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service, maintain security and operational records, respond to enquiries, meet contractual requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Retention periods can differ according to the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed.

7. Data security

TownEve uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

No internet-connected system or method of storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users and customers should protect their account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

8. Your choices and requests

Depending on applicable law and the context in which information is processed, you may be able to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, withdraw a consent where processing relies on consent, or raise a question or concern about how information is handled.

Requests can be sent to support@towneve.com.

TownEve may need to verify a request before acting on it. In a society deployment, some requests may also need to be coordinated with the society or organization responsible for the relevant account or records.

9. Third-party services and links

TownEve websites or communications may link to third-party websites, applications or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. TownEve is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties.

10. Children's information

TownEve's website and water-management services are intended for residential societies, property operators, committees, facility teams and other relevant users. TownEve does not intentionally design its public website to solicit personal information directly from children.

If a deployment requires processing information relating to a child, the responsible customer and TownEve should ensure that the information is handled in accordance with applicable requirements and the configured service.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

TownEve may update this Privacy Policy as its services, technology, legal requirements or business practices change. The current version should be published on towneve.com.
